Alveopora Corals are closely related to Goniopora and share a similar flower-like appearance with long, extended polyps. These soft corals come in various colors, including white, green, and pink, and they provide a dynamic, flowing effect in the aquarium when their polyps are fully extended. Alveopora can grow into large colonies over time, creating a beautiful focal point in your reef tank.

Alveopora thrives in low to medium lighting and medium water flow, which helps to keep the polyps extended and healthy. Like many corals, it relies on photosynthesis via its zooxanthellae, but supplemental feeding of plankton or coral foods may be necessary if the coral is not thriving or showing signs of stress. Regular feeding can help promote healthy growth and vibrant coloration, especially in tanks with lower nutrient levels or less intense light.

While peaceful, Alveopora is sensitive to water quality fluctuations and requires stable, well-maintained conditions. Be sure to provide enough space for this coral to expand and avoid contact with more aggressive species to prevent damage.
