Montipora Setosa, or Setosa Coral, is a fast-growing and visually striking SPS coral known for its bright orange color and unique encrusting or branching growth pattern. Its polyps are relatively short and dense, giving it a textured appearance that makes it a favorite in reef aquariums. The vibrant orange hue can really stand out when properly lit, adding a bold splash of color to your tank.

Setosa Coral thrives under moderate to high lighting and requires medium to high water flow to ensure healthy polyp extension and nutrient uptake. Although it primarily relies on photosynthesis through its symbiotic zooxanthellae, occasional feeding of small plankton or coral foods can help promote its growth and enhance its coloration.

Known for its peaceful nature, Montipora Setosa can be placed near other non-aggressive species without risk of stinging or aggression. As a fast-growing coral, it’s important to give it enough space to expand and avoid competition with other corals in your reef tank.
