The Frogspawn Coral is a popular and visually striking species that adds movement and color to any reef tank. Its long, fleshy tentacles appear to "bounce" like a frog’s legs, giving it a dynamic, lively presence. Frogspawn comes in both branching and wall varieties. The branching form features separate polyps with extended tentacles, while the wall form grows as a solid, encrusting base. Frogspawn thrives under moderate lighting and prefers medium water flow, which helps keep its tentacles extended and healthy. While it benefits from photosynthesis via its symbiotic zooxanthellae, regular feedings of small plankton or coral foods can enhance growth and coloration.
