Fox Coral (Nemenzophyllia turbida), also known as Jasmine Coral or Ridge Coral, is a unique LPS coral recognized for its flowing, folded tissue that creates a soft, elegant appearance in the aquarium. Its delicate, billowing structure gives it a distinct look compared to other large polyp stony corals, often displaying shades of green, tan, or cream. Fox Corals are highly sought after for their movement and graceful form.

Fox Corals thrive under low to medium lighting and prefer gentle, indirect water flow. Excessive flow can cause tissue damage, so placement in a calm area of the tank is important. While they primarily rely on photosynthesis from their symbiotic zooxanthellae, occasional feedings of small meaty foods or broadcast coral foods can support growth and overall health.

This coral is peaceful and does not have strong sweeper tentacles, making it suitable for mixed reef aquariums. It should be given adequate space from more aggressive corals and placed in a stable area where its delicate tissue will not be irritated by strong currents or nearby neighbors.
